![]() I don't know how the unofficial version is going, but I do hope that the two different series-the "purist" version made entirely by byuu and the more casual, user-friendly version made in part by others-work out. I do have to feel sorry for the poor guy, though.given the crap he's had to put up with, I can only imagine how he would react to the whole Addmusic compatibility mess if he had seen it. There's a reason most people stick with version 0.72 (me included, although 0.75 seems to run significantly better). He could remove the open file dialog in the next version, and it would be only slightly less useful than it is now. I can understand why he did, but frankly, bsnes 0.75 is missing so much stuff, it's hardly even worth using as an emulator. ![]() Of course, he had to remove some features to fit with his ideals.unfortunately. Many bsnes users know that byuu finally snapped, didn't get appreciated for his work, got sick of so many people blowing him off, whatever you want to call it, and has discontinued the "user-friendly" bsnes, replacing it with something noticeably different. But this thread isn't about how I use bsnes or what I think of it, it's about what everyone thinks about it. I still feel like I'm doing something wrong, though, if people with a quarter as much RAM as me can run bsnes better. The thing takes nearly half a minute to start up and runs like molasses in January once it has, but I can usually get it up to normal speed if I use it for a few minutes. ![]() I've heard people saying they can run it fine even on older computers, while mine is fairly new and still can't manage more than 38 FPS or so.at first, at least. We praise it for its accuracy or curse it for its lack of speed. Bsnes.we love it, we hate it, or we don't really care about it. ![]()
